Hi! I’m Sam – Welcome to After the Last Pound!

Sam - Owner of After the Last Pound, exploring what happens after she's lost the weight

I created this blog to build a community of women like me – women who have put in the work, lost the weight, may it be 5 or 150 pounds, and know that what happens next is the hard part – maintenance.

I have spent the last several months on a program to lose weight, and as I get ever closer to the end loss of about 50 pounds, I keep looking for help on great techniques to keep it off. I have pinned* a thousand workouts, read up on weight loss blogs, but have found a niche missing. I can’t find consistent blogs about maintaining the weight loss. So, I took matters into my own hands. And I am so glad you’ve found me!

Community is key!

I know that weight loss and changing your lifestyle and eating habits becomes so much harder when you go at it alone. Its best for your accountability and your mental state if you do this with a community. Building and finding a community where you can be yourself, be vulnerable, learn, and grow is so important to your success in anything. I know this to be true about so many aspects of life – that’s why I wanted to build this community for myself and anyone else on this path!

Being on the journey is success enough – you are already winning if you have made the decision to do something to better yourself – and you better be proud of it!

So, welcome!

I am thrilled you are here, and I can’t wait to hear more about you. Sound off in the comments below what you want to learn, how you are maintaining success, or if you are just starting!
